Martinair Flies to Maldives
Martinair, a subsidiary of Air France-KLM has resumed flights to the Maldives. Martinair which flies to 90 destinations worldwide from Amsterdam landed in Male’ International Airport on November 6, 2005.
Until March 2006, Martinair will operate direct scheduled flights to Amsterdam, with convenient connections to Europe, USA, Canada, South America and Caribbean on Martinair & KLM. Martinair will operate from Maldives on Sundays and would also give connections on their Colombo-Amsterdam flight on Fridays.
And starting from January 2006, Martinair will also operate another flight from Brussels to Colombo to Phuket to Maldives and back to Brussels.
Since Amsterdam Schiphol is a major European hub the operation of Martinair flights to Maldives opens up more opportunities for the European market to visit Maldives.
